Mac OS X Panther (version 10.3) is the fourth major release of Mac OS X, Apple’s desktop and server operating system. It followed Mac OS X v10.2 'Jaguar' and preceded Mac OS X Tiger (version 10.4). Apple released Panther on October 24, 2003.
Tiger (10.4), Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6) users can download v2.7.1, or, Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2) users can download v1.5.5, and Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) users can download v2.1.4, the last releases available for those older versions of OS X.
